End of 2018 Itineration

We enjoyed listening to the Kankakee Open Bible Center choir sing a Christmas song.
Sunday was our last stop on this year's itineration.  We visited Open Bible Center in Kankakee, Illinois and shared about our work in Eastern Europe, asking for their help in prayer and finances. We were well received and welcomed as dear friends since this church is missions-minded and many people know us from past visits or have heard about us when missions is emphasized in the church.
Pastor Andy Hansen
We were very pleased to have this church and three others invite us to speak between Thanksgiving and Christmas, a very busy time for most churches.

We have tickets to fly back to Europe on January 4, so in the mean time we will be wrapping things up here, deciding what to take back with us, making reports and doing other final business before we leave the country.  Language study, of course, continues as we endeavor to be able to communicate.  Our plans are to spend Christmas with our youngest son and his family in Michigan and to stop and see one of Mike's brothers on the way there.

Looking back over the last six months, itineration has been a joy.  Nothing compares to worshiping the Father with his children no matter what city we are in.  Renewing acquaintances and making new friends is always delightful and being able to share with them what God has done in Hungary and what our hopes are for our new assignment in Romania is inspiring to them and encouraging to us.  The prayers prayed for us are priceless and we are humbled by the generous offerings that have been given.  May God bless each church and pastor for receiving us, listening to us and taking such good care of us.  Thank you!
