90 and 91 Years Old

Last weekend we helped celebrate a 90th anniversary and a 91st birthday.
Touring the original building of the First Church of the Open Bible at 19th and Crocker Streets in Des Moines.  (Currently the Kathetral.)
Friday and Saturday we joined the celebration of the 90th Anniversary of the First Church of the Open Bible in Des Moines, Iowa.  Friday evening was a powerful time of worship and prayer. Jeff Farmer, former President of Open Bible Churches was the speaker and spoke a prophetic word that seemed like it was just for us.
Saturday morning we joined a tour of the original building of First Church, Open Bible National Headquarters, and the Butler Building which formerly housed Open Bible College where Mike and I received our Bible education. After the tour was a luncheon featuring former pastors, leaders, and musicians of First Church. What a great time it was to reminisce!

Eileen has hosted us every time we visited the Lacon church over the last ten years.
Saturday afternoon we traveled to Lacon, Illinois and Eileen welcomed us into her home again.  Every time we have visited the church in Lacon over the past years, she has hosted us.  While we were there, we learned that Sunday was her 91st birthday!
Pastors Ben and Lola Carlson and their son David who turned four on Friday.

Sunday was a wonderful day of worship with the Christ New Covenant Open Bible Church.  Pastors Ben and Lola Carlson and the congregation welcomed us with open arms and were open and generous to us.  And we learned that the pastor's son David had turned four years old just the Friday before.

Happy 91st birthday, Eileen, happy 90th anniversary, First Church and happy 4th birthday, David!
