Fun in Wisconsin

This past week we attended the Illinois/Wisconsin Minister's Retreat and really enjoyed ourselves. It was great connecting with new friends and renewing old friendships. The best part of the retreat was worshiping the Lord together and hearing from Steve Sampson. What a wonderful presence of the Spirit of the Lord we experienced and what encouraging words we received from Him! Praise the Lord! The two of us are in church during itineration four or five times a week now, but we are the speakers in those services. It is refreshing to hear from others every now and then.

We were also privileged to visit our long-time friends Scott and Kathy Emerson in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. May God bless your daughter and son-in-law's new adventure, Scott and Kathy!

Sunday night we were in Beloit, Wisconsin where we made new friends with Keith and Beth Hextall. The fresh apple cider was delicious and our conversations blessed by the Lord. We also stopped and bought some Wisconsin cheese. Good Stuff!

The only "negative" was me (a die-hard Minnesota Vikings' fan) being in Wisconsin during the Viking/Packer game. Scott Emerson even wore his Green Bay Packers tie to church that morning, but he did remove it during the service after reading the verse in Romans 14 about not offending your brother. We had fun even though the Vikings lost.
