Happy 5th Birthday to Kemecse Open Bible Church

Saturday we attended the celebration of five years of ministry of the Kemecse Open Bible Church.  All five of the Hungarian Open Bible Churches participated as well as some other local churches.
The service was held outside in the church yard.  Weather can be changeable in September, but the day was sunny with perfect temperatures.  We worshipped in song, listened to short histories of the church, enjoyed two short sermons, and honored some people who have been instrumental in the church's life.  Among those honored was Inste Hungary, since most of the leaders, including the founding pastor, are Level One Inste graduates.  Also honored were Pastor Karl Francis and Living Word Open Bible Church of Cooper City, Florida who gave generously toward the purchase of the current church building.
The best part of any service is when people come forward for prayer.  Almost everyone present came forward to commit themselves to the building up of their own churches, expecting God to meet their needs.
No celebration is complete without delicious food.  We enjoyed stuffed cabbage and cake after the service and everyone took the opportunity to visit with each other.  Happy birthday, Kemecse Open Bible Church!
