Exciting Sunday
Last Sunday was an
exciting day for two reasons. For the
last couple of weeks, a gypsy lady has been coming to our gate, asking for
money to help feed her kids. I gave her
a little money and a little food a couple of times and she kept coming
back. I knew her coming wouldn’t stop,
so every time she came, I said I would not give her any more money until she
came to church with me. Last Sunday she
surprised me by showing up at church with her two smallest children and sitting
with me for the entire service! She was
warmly greeted by everyone and said she enjoyed the service. She admitted that she was not ready to give
her life to Jesus yet, but she did say she wanted to come back next
Sunday. Please pray for Anna Maria.
Another reason Sunday was
an exciting day was the testimony of one of our INSTE students. Sunday afternoon we drove the hour and a half
to Tomor with our friend Zoli who helps in the class. The INSTE class went well, even though Zoli
had to leave halfway through to talk to the teenagers who gathered outside the
classroom. After class, as we were
taking Dezső and his family
home, Dezső said that he noticed
that INSTE develops people and that he himself was being built up. Even though finding the time to study is
hard, he does not like to miss a day of INSTE.
For some time, he had been looking for and hoping for something that
would help him learn about God, and INSTE is just what he needed!
Praise God!
Days like these are days of rejoicing!
